Where to go in Ashland to buy ConsciousWine choices?

First off, the stores here rock. We have a lot of diversity in our wine shops for a small town. Several of these shops have an excellent selection of ConsciousWines. We will be interviewing them one by one in this segment starting next month.

The stores you can look forward to getting the consciousness scoop on are:

After that, we’ll be spreading our wings to the surrounding area to include Pacific Wine Club and Harry & David. Then to the restaurants!

Keg of Wine

Packaging and ConsciousWine

A great deal of energy and material get consumed by packaging. A local winery on The ConsciousWine List, Wooldrdige Creek, recently started a program that reduces packaging substantially. Their Wine by the Keg program means no bottles, labels, corks, neck capsules and boxes get used when bringing wine to market. Once empty, the keg goes back to the winery and used again.

Wooldridge Creek has a keg program in motion with Standing Stone in Ashland and several establishments in Medford (Elements, 4 Daughters, and Kaleidoscope Pizza). Read more from this article in the Ashland Daily Tidings article online. This is a sustainable friendly trend worth supporting!
